I am a doctoral student in the Pathogen Ecology group supervised by Carolin Wendling. We are interested in the co-evolution of bacteriophages and their bacterial hosts including how bacteria cope with the detrimental effects of prophage carriage. We are also interested in how temperate phages are able to spread novel genetic material and benefit their bacterial host under certain environments. I am generally interested in pathogen-host dynamics and evolution along with how both phages and other viruses work.
