I have been part of the Wendling group since May 2024. I studied Biology at the TUM in Freising, specializing in Microbiology, Medical Biology, and Biochemistry. I am very broadly interested in many topics, especially anything with microbiology, evolution, or biotechnology. In my master’s thesis, I helped to develop a CRISPR-Cas bioengineering system for Clostridium cellulovorans. Now I work on a completely different project focusing on the evolutionary dynamics of prophage persistence in E. coli from the human gut, studying the interplay between the E. coli and their prophages.
